Executive Director Alex Davenport flies south for the summer

NAASA’s Executive Director, Alexander Davenport is training and teaching in Portillo, Chile. Ski Portillo, located two hours northeast of Santiago and is a world renowned ski resort. Although the natural snowfall has been much less than average this season, Alex is taking advantage of training and teaching with some of the best technical skiers in the world. “I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to come here for the summer. I have found great mentors, improved my skiing skills, have become a better teacher and coach. I am so excited to come back to Arizona and share this new skillset with our staff and volunteers.” He wrote in an email. When he returns in September he will begin the recruiting process for instructors and volunteers in anticipation for our best and busiest season yet.
